My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “The Great Escape.” Here is one of the big-screen, big-cast spectaculars about World War II from the 1960s. “The Great Escape” has it all: A neat story of POWs escaping; nice interpersonal action – but not too personal because it’s war; and enough action to make it more than just a bunch of guys in a prison camp together film. “The Great Escape” is one of the films that every WWII buff has seen. So, go watch it again today. You won’t be disappointed.
