My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “The Jackal.” Here’s a piece of garbage from the shallowest minds of Hollywood. “The Jackal” is somewhat of a remake of the tremendous film “The Day of the Jackal.” However, unlike its namesake, “The Jackal” stinks. There’s little creativity; only Jack Black is OK in the acting department; and there’s absolutely no reason to watch this film starring Bruce Willis as an assassin and Richard Gere with a bad Irish accent. The star in the original was offered a bit part, but turned it down because he saw how bad “The Jackal” would be. So, take my word for it. Don’t watch “The Jackal.” You’ll be sorry if you do.
