Our first game of the new NHL season for the Florida Panthers was this past Saturday (Oct. 13, 2018) and, while not a success on the ice in a loss to the Vancouver Canucks, the Panthers did honor popular goalie Roberto Luongo for having 1,000 NHL games – with the Panthers being one of three he’s played for in the league. He also played for the Canucks and the New York Islanders. Sorry, but this is the best shot I could do with my iPhone, but it is Luongo with his family during the ceremony. The game ended 3-2 for Vancouver and was at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla.
