My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “The Martian.” Let me get my biggest criticism out of the way first: “The Martian” kisses the backside of China (most likely because its big investor is probably Chinese or is a corporation from China) in a way that would never happen with the U.S. space program – and I’m saying this about a movie where a guy gets stuck on Mars. Otherwise, “The Martian” is a really excellent motion picture and Matt Damon is on top of his game with this one. “The Martian” isn’t big on action, but it is big on story.
