My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Night of the Comet.” Here’s a sci-fi flick that’s not very good, but I don’t say you shouldn’t watch it. “Night of the Comet” has a storyline typical to sci-fi: an outer space phenomenon – in this case a comet – just about destroys life on earth. After that, well “Night of the Comet” is the story of a few survivors and a bunch of scientists who rode out the comet and now are finding other survivors. Ho-hum. Bad direction in “Night of the Comet” as well as wooden acting don’t add up to much. So, watch “Night of the Comet” only if you don’t have anything else to do.
