My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “North Dallas Forty.” Here’s the film version of what I say is the greatest sports novel of the 20th century. “North Dallas Forty” is disappointing at times but I’ll say it’s a good but flawed movie. “North Dallas Forty” is the story of a player who’s getting older and continues to rebel against “the system.” Nick Nolte stars and is good in the headlining role, but “North Dallas Forty” could never have been as a film what it is as a novel. Still, check it out. You could do worse.
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
