Click here to read my movie suggestion for today … and it is in memory of today’s 77th anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Of course, this is the “date which will live in infamy” and one film to watch is “Tora! Tora! Tora!” from 1970. It was a dark day on Dec. 7, 1941, when imperial Japan attacked the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. “Tora! Tora! Tora!” is a big-screen spectacular, but there is differing reports about its popularity in the U.S. Some internet sites say it wasn’t popular, but it actually was in the Top 10 at the box office for 1970. It was reportedly successful in Japan at the time. “Tora! Tora! Tora!” isn’t great cinema, but watchable and has a huge cast. On this somber anniversary, check out “Tora! Tora! Tora!.”
So, I’ve suspended by daily posting of my movie reviews in alphabetical order in order to honor Pear Harbor Day.
