My movie reviews A-Z: Today … ‘The Outlaw Josey Wales’

My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “The Outlaw Josey Wales.” Here is, in my opinion, Clint Eastwood’s best movie as director as well as his best as an actor. “The Outlaw Josey Wales” didn’t get the recognition it deserved when it was released in 1976 because Eastwood was still just “Dirty Harry” or a spaghetti western star in Hollywood’s liberal mind. However, “The Outlaw Josey Wales” gives the moviegoer everything: A great story; great acting; and great direction. I believe Eastwood’s Oscars for Best Picture and Best Director (and his nomination for Best Actor) in “Unforgiven” should have been his for “The Outlaw Josey Wales,” which is a superior film.

I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
