My movie reviews A-Z: Today … ‘Streets of Fire’

My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Streets of Fire.” Here’s a film that wanted to join fantasy, music and noir into a youth-oriented “fable.” Well, “Streets of Fire” has decent components, but in the end it just doesn’t work. Director Walter Hill tried his best, but the music didn’t become the soul of the film – individual songs became punctuation points of the moment. “Streets of Fire” is mostly fun to watch – especially the song, the dance and the action when the singer is rescued from the motorcycle gang’s headquarters. However, it’s not a smooth production and your attention will wander. Still, “Streets of Fire” is worth it.

I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
