My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with the 1999 remake of “The Thomas Crown Affair.” While Hollywood uses so-called “reboots” as a substitute for creativity these days, there are a few great remakes and “The Thomas Crown Affair” is a sterling example. The original, starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway, was solid, but the remake set the big screen on fire with the over-heated chemistry between a couple of 40-somethings – Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo. “The Thomas Crown Affair” is a story about a rich man who pulls off a big-time robbery and the female private eye who’s out to get him. You saw it, so go out and enjoy the remake of “The Thomas Crown Affair” again!
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
