My movie reviews A-Z: Today … ‘2 Days in the Valley’

My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “2 Days in the Valley.” Here’s one of my all-time faves! “2 Days in the Valley” didn’t get any attention from the critics and even got a “Razzie” nomination for Teri Hatcher, but the cast, while not A-list, is a group of great actors. “2 Days in the Valley” is an “intersection” film with crime and crimes being the intersection in California’s San Fernando Valley. Giving career performances in “2 Days in the Valley” are James Spader and Danny Aiello, while Marsha Mason and director-turned-actor here Paul Mazursky give simply outstanding performances and Gleanne Headley gives the most understated but effective one. Even Oscar winner (not for this one) Louise Fletcher has a bit part and hits a homerun. The film’s director, John Herzfeld, must still dream about this cast. I know you haven’t seen “2 Days in the Valley,” so I urge you to see it soonest!

I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
