My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Where Eagles Dare.” Here is one of the all time underrated World War II films and it stars Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood – and you can’t get two bigger names than that pair! “Where Eagles Dare” is actually an espionage film – a group of British commandos with one American (Clint, of course) have to rescue an officer from a mountain fortress. Well, Clint mows ’em down (his biggest body count of any of his films); Burton is the puppet master; and the good guys win (again, of course). “Where Eagles Dare” is easy to find, so don’t delay! Even if you don’t like war movies or Clint movies, you’ll really enjoy “Where Eagles Dare!”
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
