My movie suggestion today is … to watch Steve McQueen in “Bullitt” – if you want a real car chase! No CGI here, since it was two generations away from being invented. “Bullitt” is a noir showcase from 1968 as our country was in the throes of the Vietnam war and anti-heroes were on the rise. McQueen plays the toughest-of-tough-guy cops in “Bullitt” and his Ford Mustang became an instant icon in the chase (quick, can you say what kind of car was in the chase with him? … hint, it was a Dodge Charger). However, “Bullitt” is as much a real motion picture with real acting than it is an “action” flick. Check it out … you won’t be disappointed.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog. Below is the link back to the original review.
