My movie suggestion today is … to watch a film honor our veterans. Monday (Nov. 11, 2019) is the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Veterans Day in the U.S. So, even though today (Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019) is the day before the 100th anniversary, I’ll ask you to watch “Midway” in honor of our veterans. “Midway” was a big screen-big cast spectacle film from 1976 and chronicles the landmark victory of the United States over the empire of Japan in 1942 – just six months after the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. “Midway” stars … well, just about any actor who was working in film or TV in the mid-1970s. “Midway” was the beginning of the end for Japan in World War II and the movie tells the story through a variety of airmen and sailors. “Midway” stands the test of time and new “Midway” film has just been released.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog. Below is the link back to the original review.
