My movie suggestion today is … to watch “The Cincinnati Kid” starring Steve McQueen. Here’s “the” poker movie before poker went TV and “Rounders” hit the big screen. McQueen is “The Kid” and he’s out to challenge the elder statesman of the game played by Edward G. Robinson. You’ll also find A-list stars from Ann-Margaret to Karl Malden and even “Grease’s” “Vi” – Joan Blondell. “The Cincinnati Kid” is absolutely a wonderful drama framed by a poker table. You’ll actually have to think as you watch “The Cincinnati Kid,” since it’s not just a “poker movie.” “The Cincinnati Kid” is easy to find, so … get it and watch it!
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog. Below is the link back to the original review.
