Along with acrobats, the performer spinning above during the Festival of the Lion King live show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is a highlight. I got this shot during the first show on Jan. 12, 2019, during our visit to Walt Disney World.
Here’s another shot of the “Fire Dude“ spinning his flaming baton during the Festival of the Lion King live show. It appears he’s looking through a circle of flame. We were at Walt Disney World, The show is held daily at the Harambe Theater at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. I got this shot of who I call the “fire dude” during the first show on Jan. 12, 2019.

It’s the end of 2019 and each year of my blog I’ve chosen the photographs that I believe are the best of the year. For my favorite photo from Walt Disney World this year, I’ve chosen the big photo at the top of a performer spinning high above the floor of the Harambe Theatre during a performance of the Festival of the Lion King at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. I know more adventures are opening in the coming two years across Walt Disney World, but currently the best live stage show is Festival of the Lion King at the Harambe Theater at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Now, Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage at Hollywood Studios is great, it doesn’t measure up. I got this shot of who I call the “Fire Dude” during the first show on Jan. 12, 2019.
Not only is the new Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run attraction at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge great, we only had a 15-minute wait on Sept. 7, 2019! Because of Hurricane Dorian, crowd counts had been low the past week, but the weekend perked up. Here’s one shot from our first ride on Smugglers Run.We did a weekend at Walt Disney World because of the expected lower crowd count – despite the recent opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the start 10 days ago of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

the competition for the best was challenged by two other photos from the Festival of the Lion King and one from the new ride Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios. All of them are solid photos and contain nice memories of our multiple visits this past year to Walt Disney World.
