Try this flick … “The Hunt for Red October.” Here’s a really solid translation of a novel to the big screen. “The Hunt for Red October” was the first best-seller from Tom Clancy and the exceptionally detailed novel is wonderfully crafted into a movie by director John McTiernan. Unfortunately, “The Hunt for Red October” co-stars one of Hollywood’s biggest … uh, asshats: Alec Baldwin. He does a solid job in “The Hunt for Red October,” but Sean Connery is the best in this one and that’s saying something with the work of the supporting cast. “The Hunt for Red October” is easy to find, so watch it!
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
