Try this flick … “Stroker Ace.” Well and, well, actually … don’t try “Stroker Ace.” Here’s a big bomb dropped by the wonderful team of director Hal Needham and Burt Reynolds. Both are no longer with us, but they did bring us the chase classic “Smokey and the Bandit” and the better film of the stunt spectacular “Hooper.” So, how did this duo fall so far? Who knows? “Stroker Ace” just plain out-and-out stinks. It even has the late, great Jim Nabors, but nothing could salvage this sinking ship. However, I’ll change my mind and tell you to check out “Stroker Ace” just for the fun of it … and you’ll make a lot of fun of it!
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
