Try this flick … “Happy Gilmore.” Here’s one of the few watchable golf films out there and, like the comedy classic “Caddyshack,” “Happy Gilmore” is as much great for golf as other notable efforts. “Happy Gilmore,” which stars Adam Sandler in the title role, is the story of a failed, frustrated ice hockey player who has a prodigious … drive. “Happy Gilmore” makes par-4 greens on his first shot and takes over the pro tour with the appeal to fans of his long … shots and being representative of the hoi polloi (ahoy!) rather than snooty country-club types. Plus, he has a great fight scene with Bob Barker (… “The price is wrong, bitch!”). If you golf, then you’ve seen “Happy Gilmore.” See it again!
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
