Try this flick … “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.” Now here’s an extension of a great original! “Jumanji: WTTJ” is creative, well-directed, well-acted and just a basically sensational updating of the original. Of course, “Jumanji: WTTJ” isn’t a “reboot” in the traditional (non-creative) vein, but a true sequel. And, unlike so many others, manages to do it with quality and verve. “Jumanji: WTTJ” does a nice meld of the old with the new and the storytelling is simply wonderful. I guess that I am so impressed with director Jake Kasdan’s effort with “Jumanji: WTTJ” that I can’t help but “gush” about the movie.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
