Try this flick … “Father Goose.” Here is one of Cary Grant’s movies set in the Pacific at the outbreak of World War II and although it has its serious moments, is more of a comedy than drama. He co-stars with Leslie Caron in “Father Goose” under circumstances that bring both to an island in the Pacific where he’s ostensibly being a “coastwatcher” (a person who monitored Japanese ship and aircraft movements). Of course, as “Father Goose,” he clashes with her but ultimately finds true love. “Father Goose” was Cary’s next-to-last film and it’s very good.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
