Try this flick … “A History of Violence.” Here’s a simply terrific dark drama form director David Cronenberg that’s obviously worth your time. “A History of Violence” is the story of Viggo Mortensen as a former gangster who left the rackets for a rural lifestyle far away from the big city. “A History of Violence” has his new life uncovered when he destroys two robbers in his café. Soon, Mortensen and his wife, played to perfection by the underrated Maria Bello, are caught up in a very tangled web. William Hurt earned an Oscar nomination for less than 10 minutes on screen at the end of “A History of Violence.” You’ll want to see the whole thing!
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
