I’m posting a bad photo today, but it is a milestone and I’ll use it as a lesson about phrases: We finally have proper cable and power connection to the TV on our patio (gee, you don’t have to wonder how vapid that statement plays out). After years of running cables along the edge of a set of sliders and up to the TV, an electrician put in these outlets and now it looks … neat – as in connected and not jury-rigged any longer. Oh, do you know the difference between jury-rigged and jerry-built? Much, much different – jury-rigged is using the materials and situation at hand to accomplish something and jerry-built is to build quickly and cheaply. I took this photo on Aug. 3, 2020.
