Try this flick … “Tower Heist.” I like caper films, but Ben Stiller’s lack of ability lead a movie as a headliner must have ended years earlier because “Tower Heist” stinks. It has an OK cast, but the film just never takes off and it’s because Stiller just cannot carry a film – somewhat akin to why Jason Bateman should always be a supporting actor. In “Tower Heist” a group comes together after a Bernie Madoff-type-guy screws them all over and they have to steal the only thing left of his wealth from his New York penthouse. Ah well, “Tower Heist” could have been great, but barely achieves being called “somewhat watchable.”
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
