Retro Disney favorite photos: @EPCOT grows the world’s hottest pepper — the Carolina Reaper

Today, I’m continuing to re-post a favorite photo from Walt Disney World … and it’s one with the world’s hottest pepper. The original caption: “‘Extremely hot?’ Duh! The world’s hottest pepper grows at Living with the Land at EPCOT. It’s the Carolina Reaper and it is 200 times hotter than the well-known and respected jalapeño pepper. I have wanted to try the Bhut jolokia (or “Ghost Pepper”), which at one time was the world’s hottest, but now is seventh or so on the list of top 10 hot peppers. The Carolina Reaper will bring more than tears to your eyes. I got this shot Aug. 25, 2018, during my day trip to Walt Disney World. Click here for a story about the world’s hottest peppers …” As we won’t be back at Walt Disney World for some time – between the coronavirus alert and the fact that our annual passes expired and we haven’t renewed.
