It’s H20ween coming! … my recommendation(s) for today are a pair of excellent TV movies from the ’70s. The first is “The Night Stalker” and the second is “The Night Strangler.” Both star Darren McGavin as reporter on the trail of, first, a vampire and then a serial killer who needs to surface every 30 years to regenerate his body. Both are clever tales and both well-told … for TV movies. “The Night Stalker” is far superior to the sequel, but that’s because “The Night Strangler” was only made because of the success of the original (and it was written by a different author). However, in this Halloween season of 2020, both of these are must-see horror. You won’t be disappointed.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
