It’s H20ween coming! … today (Oct. 30, 2020), we’re just a day away from Halloween 2020. Before we get to the best-ever scary film, let’s do No. 2 today – and I don’t mean in your pants as you watch it! “Scream” is the second-best horror flick … ever. The late, legendary Wes “A Nightmare on Elm Street” Craven single-handedly revived the horror industry from the depths of straight-to-video crap with 1996’s spectacular “Scream.” It was fresh; it was creative; it was … a “Scream!” Although zombies would soon dominate theaters and TV, the “slasher” genre got new life with this one film. “Scream” is simply sensational and just about as perfect a horror film as you can find from the writing to the acting and, especially, Craven’s direction. So, on this day-before-Halloween … watch “Scream.” PS: The poster noting a May 2 opening for the film was from the UK.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
