Try this flick … “The Getaway.” Here is the late Sam Peckinpah’s best film. From start to finish, it doesn’t get any better than “The Getaway” with Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw. Yes, Peckinpah made more notable films (try “The Wild Bunch” as a great motion picture or “Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia” as a cult classic), but none of his films truly measure up to “The Getaway.” Forget the pathetic, execrable remake, go straight to the original. You won’t be disappointed on any level – “The Getaway” is a layered film that will make you think as well as cringe!
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
