Try this flick … “Bad News Bears” from 2005. Here’s the remake of an excellent motion picture that features kids. Although you might believe that any “reboot” of a great original will stink, think again about “Bad News Bears.” OK, so they dropped “The” in the title … the rest ain’t bad, while not measuring up to the original. The updating nearly 30 years later is as spot-on as Hollywood could ever hope to manage and, while you might also believe that “Bad News Bears” wouldn’t the movie for Billy Bob Thornton, you’ll be wrong about the headliner. It also stars Marcia Gay Harden and Greg Kinnear, so, check out “Bad News Bears” when you can. You won’t be disappointed.
