Try this flick … “Blue Chips.” Basketball season has returned and here’s a good, but not great, movie about college hoops. “Blue Chips” stars Nick Nolte and has two really excellent supporting performances by two really excellent pro basketball players: Shaquille O’Neal and Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway. “Blue Chips” is the story of a straight but volatile coach (Nolte) who is finally tempted to let boosters “buy” players after he has a losing season. The outcome of “Blue Chips” is expected given the tone of the film, but nice to see anyway.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
