Watch It! So, what to recommend today? Try “The Killer Elite.” Sam Peckinaph might not have been popular with studio brass (a big point in the late, legendary director’s favor), but he knew how to make a film. “The Killer Elite” is the story of two killers … James Caan and Robert Duvall and how they deal with killing, betrayal and the ultimate final act (for each of them). BTW … “The Killer Elite” was NOT remade. There is a flick called “Killer Elite” from 2011 (note that there’s no “The”), but it was a shameless taking of a name familiar to some moviegoers. “The Killer Elite” stands the test of time and remains on movie network rotations. You won’t have to go too far to find it … so, Watch It!
