OK, I’m not making any political statement or PC-related thought, but wanted to bring to your attention a 50-year-old TV comment that’s relevant today. While I was watching an old cop show on TV (the “Log 135: Arson” episode of “Adam-12” from Dec. 5, 1970), I noticed that the officers on the show mentioned something that resonates today – law enforcement being sent to an emotional situation. I’m not posting what the other officer said (it was more practical than philosophical), but just want to make the point that issues today have been discussed before and are not new – no matter how much anyone believes otherwise. Sad, but true. I took two photos of the closed captioning off our TV here in Naples, Fla., on Feb. 9, 2021. I inserted the top comment on the main photo rather than post two photos.
