Watch it! A movie today? ‘Seems Like Old Times’ is a fun one from the comedy vault

Watch It! If you’d like a comedy that’s more comedic than slapstick, then try “Seems Like Old Times” with Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn from 1980. It was the second of two big-screen comedies that paired them and while “Seems Like” isn’t the equal of “Foul Play,” which came out in ’78, it is just totally fun to watch because it’s a Neil Simon-written movie. “Seems Like” is the story of Chase, who is a writer who is kidnapped and forced to rob a bank. Uh, oh! His former wife, Hawn, is a liberal attorney, but her husband is the state’s top prosecutor and hates Chase’s guts. Of course, it all plays out well in “Seems Like,” but there’s a bunch of funny bits culminating in (of course) a courtroom. So, find it and … Watch It!
