Watch It! Today’s an easy suggestion: “Fletch.” Here’s the iconic comedy-drama starring Chevy Chase that revived the song “Moon River” (and you know the scene). “Fletch” is taken from a serious novel about a reporter investigating drugs on the local beach when he gets pulled into a murder-for-hire plot. Chase takes the character and runs with it … a long, long way. “Fletch” is mostly remembered after the comedy of Chase by how he changes identities at the drop of a hat. Just about everything Chase does is funny and is his best headlining effort. You’ve seen “Fletch” several times, so … Watch It!
