Watch It! “Night of the Comet” is a so-so sci-fi flick, but you should check it out. The storyline is solid: A comet passes close to earth; earthlings celebrate; earthlings pretty much wiped out by alien cooties except for a few survivors and some zombies. However much promise, “Night of the Comet” just doesn’t deliver. I’d say more thought went into the movie poster than the film itself. Oh, don’t get me wrong, it has some watchable scenes, such as when the main two survivors are shopping in a mall store after the apocalypse and get accosted by zombie stockboys, but there’s not much to “Night of the Comet” as a whole. You have second- and third-tier actors in this one, so you don’t get too disappointed by a bad performance from a top-notch star. Still, you need to check out “Night of the Comet” because it is watchable. So … Watch It!
