Watch It! The movie version of “CHIPS” gets my harshest criticism (I say watching it is like having a colonoscopy without the anesthesia or the lube), but is also far-and-away most popular movie review on my blog. As a movie, “CHIPS” is horrid … it has very few redeeming parts (two to be exact) and is an insult to human intelligence. Still, folks click on the review (3,055 times as of today since the original posting on July 9, 2017). “CHIPS” is the reboot of the venerable, iconic TV show about motorcycle officers in Los Angeles and even screws the storyline up so much that the character “Ponch” isn’t really “Ponch” (he’s undercover and the name’s a cover, too).
