Watch It! Let’s turn to horror today and you’ll find “Salem’s Lot” to be a sensational vampire movie. “Salem’s Lot,” which is taken from a Stephen King novel of the same name, was made for TV, but don’t let that fool you. This is a true horror flick. It has horror master Tobe Hooper in the director’s chair and stars David Soul and James Mason. “Salem’s Lot” is a town (actually, Jerusalem’s Lot) where a vampire decides to set up shop. His familiar comes to town first and things tend to go downhill from there. Although not a gorefest, “Salem’s Lot” has great scares and tension and you’ll enjoy it right through to the final credits.
