Watch It! Hmmm … let’s try “Get Shorty” today. It’s the story of a criminal who goes Hollywood and is good at it! “Get Shorty” has an A-list of stars with headliners John Travolta, Gene Hackman and Rene Russo. Travolta is the hood in “Get Shorty” who comes to Hollywood to make a movie and cut through all the “Hollywood” that goes along with getting a movie made in Hollywood. The story of “Get Shorty” is taken from a novel by Elmore Leonard and directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, who brought another novel (“Big Trouble” – click here for my review) to the big screen in even better fashion. Still, “Get Shorty” is a wonderful film and you should find it and … Watch It!
