Watch It! “Red Dawn” from 1984 was the first film to receive the PG-13 designation. It became a cult fav with survivalists and far-right groups and is a good action film, but, otherwise, “Red Dawn” is just a so-so flick. “Red Dawn” tells the story of an invasion of the United States (by air and through Mexico) of troops commanded by the Commies. Cold War time, folks! In one small town, a group of teenagers become a resistance group and bring the action back to the invaders. “Red Dawn” is also the first film with Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey (they don’t dance in this one) and has all the stereotypes you could ever imagine. In any case, you might find “Red Dawn” interesting, so … Watch It!
