Watch It! “You’ve Got Mail” is a simply sensational romantic comedy (they were once called “chick flicks,” but I believe that moniker is no longer active) and even better than the “other” one that stars Tom Hanks and Med Ryan. “You’ve Got Mail” is the signature sound of AOL email back in the day. With Hanks and Ryan not knowing each other’s true identity, that “You’ve Got Mail” tone was hitting a switch for them. Of course, they become friends (via email); clash (because of business); then she dislikes him (once their identities become known); and then in the end … well, you know … “You’ve Got Mail.” You’ve seen it, so get out there and … Watch It!
