Watch It! The remake with 2017’s “Going in Style” isn’t so much a bad film as it is one that was poorly executed and lacking the drama and message of the original. “Going in Style” is the remade story about three retirees who find their no-so-generous pension is being carved up by slimeball corporate scum. Well, everyone can get on board with hating corporate scum, but that’s not what “Going in Style” should have been remade to showcase. The original “Going in Style” (from 1979 – click here for my review) was more about how three vital men’s lives erode to the point that sticking up a bank elevates their existence. Well, the remade “Going in Style” has no such drama going for it; it lacks creativity; and so you should, of course … Watch It!
