Looking on the big screen at your home today, I’ll recommend “10.” Here’s an iconic comedy that set the standard for slow-running on a beach and chasing after a younger woman. “10” should need no real introduction, but it is not as remembered as well as others from the era (namely “National Lampoon’s Animal House” from the year before or “Caddyshack” from the year after “10”). Dudley Moore is the star and he becomes entranced with then-newcomer Bo Derek. He is in a relationship with Julie Andrews (and his neighbor across the canyon wants to watch them in the bedroom through binoculars), but that go by the wayside as Moore becomes for frenetic in his pursuit of the young woman. “10” is near-perfect as a movie and a comedy and you should revisit it immediately.
I’m sure that you won’t have any trouble finding “10,” so watch it on your “big screen” at home!
