Looking on the big screen at your home today, let me tell you to dive back into the ’60s for “The Trouble with Angels.” Here’s a story about Catholic schoolgirls getting into trouble … NO, not that kind of Catholic schoolgirl movie! It’s family fun, but also a tour-de-force by Rosalind Russell. In “The Trouble with Angels,” Russell is the Mother Superior of the convent school where the story takes place. She is not just a nun and leader of the religious school, but is also worldly wise and patient with her charges beyond what the girls see. “The Trouble with Angels” is a wonderful comedy with more than a bit of drama and some layering.
I’m sure that you might have some trouble finding “The Trouble with Angels,” still, make the effort for your “big screen” at home!
