On your home big screen: ‘Nighthawks’ is more than just a ‘buddy’ film

Looking on the big screen at your home today, “Nighthawks” is a good “buddy” flick with Sylvester Stallone and Billy Dee Williams, but it is Rutger Hauer who does the best job as the terrorist “Wulfgar.” “Nighthawks” is the story of two New York Police Department undercover detectives who get pulled into the somewhat new anti-terrorism business (remember, the film was released in 1981). In “Nighthawks,” they find themselves on the trail of “Wulfgar” and it gets personal for Stallone. It’s a decent storyline with only a little bit drifting over to stereotypes, but you should watch it for Hauer’s work. A star in Europe, “Nighthawks” was his first “big” U.S. film. Well, it should be your film now.

I’m sure that you might have some trouble in finding “Nighthawks” for your “big screen” at home!
