Looking on the big screen at your home today, you need to watch (or re-watch) John Carpenter’s “Escape from New York.” Here’s a very creative flick from the director of the original “Halloween” with Jamie Lee Curtis. However, “Escape from New York,” which stars Kurt Russell, is saddled with the feeling throughout that something’s missing in the film. You have a great director, an excellent cast and a wonderfully creative storyline. However, “Escape from New York” comes up short in just about every department. Don’t let that fool you … I still recommend this cult fav since it is … a cult fav and from that master of horror John Carpenter.
You’ll have no trouble finding “Escape from New York” for your “big screen” at home!
