On your home big screen: ‘Harlem Nights’ is better than you remember

Looking on the big screen at your home today, you should check out “Harlem Nights” with Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor (and Redd Foxx and Della Reese). Here’s a somewhat of a caper flick that frames the chemistry between Murphy and Pryor as after-hours club owners in Harlem in the 1930s. Although there’s the caper component, the beauty of “Harlem Nights” is just how off-handledly funny the cast can be … and there is totally top-shelf comedians in this film. “Harlem Nights” is the story of a man (Pryor) and his “son” (Murphy, as explained early in the film) and a growing feud with a vicious New York gangster. “Harlem Nights” is a totally underrated film you should watch for the first time … or again if you’ve seen it before.

You’ll have no trouble finding “Harlem Nights” to watch on your “big screen” and you won’t be disappointed once you find it and watch it.
