Looking on the big screen at your home today, let’s go with little-remembered gem called “French Postcards.” No, it’s not those kind of French postcards. Here is a coming-of-age semi-classic that very few saw when it appeared in 1979 and not many more when it went to video and movie channels such as HBO. “French Postcards” is the story of a group of American college students spending a year in France. Of course, each has his or her own agenda and few, if any, follow the planned course (no pun intended). “French Postcards” is totally worth your time as the tragedy is that it is as much never-seen as it was little-remembered.
It may appear on some movie channel at some time during the year, but the time spent finding “French Postcards” to watch on your “big screen” will be worth the price and effort.
