Looking on the big screen at your home today, check out “The Outlaw Josey Wales.” It stars Clint Eastwood (and he directed it, too). “The Outlaw Josey Wales” is my favorite Clint flick and is simply one of the best Westerns ever made. Clint’s “Unforgiven” is just a smidgen less because of its much deeper vile, dark heart, although both films are stories of vengeance. Eastwood plays the title character in “Josey Wales” and spends the film running from the authorities while dispatching them as they come to a final showdown with a friend-turned-backstabbing enemy. Both “Unforgiven” and “The Outlaw Josey Wales” feature a final showdown between Clint and a nemesis (a sadistic sheriff played by Gene Hackman in “Unforgiven” and the former friend in “Josey Wales”) that can only be described as simply great American cinema.
The film can be easily found on movie networks, so keep and eye out for “The Outlaw Josey Wales” for your “big screen.”
