Hold my beer at Publix? Hmmm … the latest shopping cart innovation apparently is the drink holder! I was at a Publix on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022, here in Naples, Fla., and noticed the new accoutrement for the shopping carts. I don’t know if all Publix stores will have this attachment, but if anyone challenges you to a race in the aisles, you don’t have to ask someone to “hold my beer!” Of course, since Publix sells lots of subs and prepared food (who doesn’t enjoy a PubSub?) along with drinks, so the cup holder is a very practical.
