Today’s ‘must see’ movie: ‘Weird Science’ describes two teenagers

Today’s “must” movie is from the from John Hughes and it is “Weird Science.” I enjoy just about all of his cinematic work, although his last, “Curly Sue,” isn’t so hot and I even more enjoy his writing efforts, especially for National Lampoon. In “Weird Science,” you get a couple of geeks who would like to have girlfriends, or even just some friends. They wind up creating a woman with a computer and get … Kelly LeBrock.

Of course, you have seen “Weird Science” and pretty much know that the guys go through trial and tribulation before coming out ahead in the end. Again and of course, there is Hughes’ signature work in the world of teenagers, but this one has more strange (“weird?”) components than any of his other films..

So, make sure you go out of your way to watch “Weird Science.” You won’t be disappointed … I guarantee it!
